The Archaeological Museum is a Maltese museum of prehistoric artifacts, located in Valletta.
In 1958, the National Museum was opened in the building of the Provencal Inn. Initially, the museum exhibited archaeological exhibits on the ground floor of the building, and fine arts on the first floor. In 1974, the collection of fine arts was moved to the new National Museum of Fine Arts, and the National Museum changed its name to the National Museum of Archeology. In 1998, the museum was renovated
